Farewell to Manzanar: A true story of Japanese American experience during and after the World War II internment.
This was an excellent memoir of a woman imprisoned as a teenager in an internment camp for Japanese-Americans. This was an excellent introduction to a shameful and not often mentioned piece of american history. Highly recommended.
